If John Boyega had his way, Finn would end up in a romantic relationship with Rey. Though the Star Wars sequel trilogy has largely avoided a love story a la Han and Leia, the newer films have certainly toyed with the concept. This was most readily apparent in The Force Awakens when Rey first met Finn. In an effort to impress the scavenger, Finn lied about being a Resistance fighter and even asked Rey is she had a “cute boyfriend” back on Jakku. Since the two remained separated for most of The Last Jedi, any flirtation hasn’t gone beyond that.
