The Predator writer Fred Dekker confirms the movie is currently shooting additional photography, and that a teaser trailer should be arriving soon. The Predator franchise hasn’t had much luck in recent years. The original 1987 movie is considered a classic of the sci-fi genre, but the sequels have mostly failed to match it in quality. Predator 2 had some nice setpieces and additions to the mythology – including the famous use of an Alien Easter egg – but it couldn’t match the success of the first movie.
