As the summer blockbuster season approaches, Marvel’s first film of the year is gaining a lot of attention. Thanks to the success of the first film in the franchise, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is estimated to pull in over $150 million in its opening weekend. With a mix of humor, action, and cosmic adventure, that’s hardly surprising, as the film offers something unique in the current landscape. Of course, all of that spectacle wouldn’t mean much without interesting characters. Luckily, director James Gunn has assured us that each hero will get their own arc in the overall story.
