Warner Bros. first kicked off the DC Comics Extended Universe with Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel in 2013, but it wasn’t until the director’s 2016 follow up, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, that the cinematic superhero franchise launched in earnest. The film introduced a whole host of heroes to a world that already included Clark Kent aka Superman (Henry Cavill). The Man of Steel teamed up with Bruce Wayne aka Batman (Ben Affleck) and Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) to defeat Doomsday, but Barry Allen aka The Flash (Ezra Miller), Arthur Curry aka Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Victor Stone aka Cyborg (Ray Fisher) were also introduced.
