Guy Ritchie has already been tapped to direct the live-action adaptation of Aladdin – which is currently seeking to cast Will Smith as the Genie – and the latest word has the filmmaker aiming for an “authentic voice.” Following the blockbuster reception received by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures’ latest live-action adaption of its outstanding stable of original animated classics in the form of Beauty and the Beast – which managed to rake in over $1 billion in ticket sales worldwide at the box office – all eyes are facing towards future releases.
