Disney releases the synopsis for the upcoming live-action adaptation project directed by Finding Neverland helmer Marc Forster, Christopher Robin. With a stacked casting sheet with the likes of Ewan McGregor (Christopher Robin) and Hayley Atwell (Evelyn Robin), as well as Jim Cummings (Winnie the Pooh) leading the voice actors, it’s hard not to get excited about the flick. While it’s arguably a lesser-known property compared to last year’s Beauty and the Beast, which pocketed more than $1.2 billion overall global sales, being a non-mainstream IP gives it the breathing room to create its own mythos without being shackled by its original iteration.
