All five Fantastic Beasts movies will take place in different cities, director David Yates has confirmed. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them heralded a new chapter of J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, taking us back in time to 1920s New York City. With a five movie arc planned, the first movie, which starred Eddie Redmayne as Magizoologist Newt Scamander, set up the story of dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald‘s (Johnny Depp) rise to power.
