Blumhouse’s 2018 sequel to the original Halloween has added Falling Skies’ Will Patton, and also marked John Carpenter’s birthday on set. The latest entry into the storied Halloween franchise hits theaters this October, and is set to be directed by David Gordon Green. Co-writing the script are Green and Danny McBride. Halloween (2018) – in a way similar to 1998 sequel Halloween H20 – will reboot the franchise slightly, serving as a direct sequel to Carpenter’s 1978 classic.
