A trailer has been released for Warner Bros. new animated feature Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay. Fans of the ragtag group of villains may recall 2014’s animated movie Batman: Assault On Arkham, which was a spinoff of the popular Arkham video game series. The story found Task Force X breaking into Arkham Asylum on Amanda Waller’s orders, but thanks to Batman and The Joker, their plans soon go awry.
Assault On Arkham was well-received by fans for its writing and animation, with many even preferring it to the 2016 live action Suicide Squad movie. Recent features from Warner Bros. Animation have been a mixed bag, however; Batman: The Killing Joke disappointed many despite being based on Alan Moore’s acclaimed graphic novel, while Batman And Harley Quinn received mostly negative feedback for its childish humor and story.
