A new trailer for DC’s upcoming Super Hero Girls animated feature Brain Drain gives the super-teens the LEGO treatment. Super Hero Girls was launched in 2015 by DC as a way to appeal to younger girls, with the focus put squarely on the shoulders of DC’s best known female superheroes. Fans can follow Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Katana and Poison Ivy (among others) as they attend Super Hero High School, bringing a YA perspective to the DC universe.
Since the initiative was launched in 2015, DC’s Super Hero Girls has included a line of action figures, graphic novels, text-only novels, and a webseries. In addition, a feature-length movie, DC’s Super Hero Girls: Hero Of The Year was released last August.
