With both Blade and Jamie Foxx back in the spotlight, a new piece of fan art imagines the actor as Marvel’s resident Daywalker. While X-Men and Spider-Man usually get the credit for kicking off the modern age of superhero blockbusters, Blade proved even earlier that Marvel’s comic book properties had big screen appeal. Though the trilogy dipped a bit in quality and reception as it went along, the first Blade was still an excellent example of how to blend comics with other film genres. It also showed that a somewhat obscure character could be made into a household name.
