The confusion over whether Venom and Spider-Man: Homecoming exist in the same world isn’t clearing up anytime soon, as producer Amy Pascal admits the two sets of characters may crossover eventually. When the news broke of Sony creating a Venom movie, fans immediately began wondering if it was part of the MCU. From there, Tom Hardy was cast in the lead role and Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) landed in the director’s chair, but the connection to Spidey was still left open.
