A casting call confirms that Halloween (2018) starts filming this month in Charleston, South Carolina. Shooting had been set to start on the Halloween reboot in October but the production was pushed back. David Gordon Green will direct, from a script he co-wrote with Danny McBride. John Carpenter directed the original 1978 film, which became a classic of the horror genre. The film spawned seven sequels and a Rob Zombie remake that itself got a sequel. Universal and super-successful horror house Blumhouse Pictures are producing.
