Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle just crossed $500 million at the worldwide box office. The long-in-development standalone sequel to Joe Johnston’s 1995 fantasy adventure film, Jumanji – based on Chris Van Allsburg’s 1981 children’s book of the same name – finally hit theaters in December 2017 after suffering multiple delays. Bad Teacher director Jake Kasdan helmed the sequel, starring Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Nick Jonas as the video game’s avatars.
