Director Josh Boone has teased the X-Men movie New Mutants will differ from other superhero films in multiple respects – including, a lack of proper superhero costumes.
Fox’s New Mutants was recently pushed back to 2019, much to the disappointment of fans. There are reports that Fox intends to New Mutants even scarier, and that Boone is turning the superhero film into a full-on horror offering. The success of Deadpool and Logan has given Fox a lot of confidence in terms of creating a diverse range of superhero movies. They clearly want Boone to take advantage of this opportunity, and to create a horror film that will give fans of the franchise nightmares.
