Lakeith Stanfield has joined the cast of The Girl in the Spider’s Web, a sequel/soft reboot to the 2011 David Fincher movie, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Sony has recast the sequel in the hope to get the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo franchise up and running again.
Stanfield has shot to fame after several high-profile roles. After debuting in Shot-Term 12 with Brie Larson, he’s been featured in films like Selma and Snowden, and played Snoop Dogg in Straight Outta Compton.
