There have been a few attempts to bring Wonder Woman to the big screen since the character’s inception 75 years ago, but next year Diana will finally come out swinging in her own big-budget blockbuster action movie, directed by Patty Jenkins (Monster). Returning to the role after a memorable introduction in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Gal Gadot will play a younger (though still centuries old) version of the Themysciran warrior princess as she explores the world of men during a tumultuous time in history – the First World War.
