After a disappointing end to Bryan Singer’s X-Men trilogy, the decision to reboot the franchise with a prequel series decades before the original was an interesting tactic to breathe new life into the franchise. The young cast assembled were able to play characters that audiences have seen before better than anyone could have hoped in X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past. Fox brought in even more young versions of known X-Men by introducing young versions of Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), and Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) for their latest film X-Men: Apocalypse.
