In a summer of disappointing films, Captain America: Civil War shone as a true bright spot for major Hollywood blockbusters. There was a lot to like about the Captain America: Winter Soldier follow-up, but an overwhelming majority of the praise from both fans and critics were directed towards the Marvel Cinematic Universe newcomer, Spider-Man (Tom Holland).
The introduction of the web-slinger into Marvel Studios’ booming superhero film franchise not only served as a wonderful segue into the character’s upcoming standalone movie; it also added to the picture itself by inserting some well-timed humor and even more jaw-dropping action. With Spidey’s entrance into the MCU being the success that it was, it only makes sense that the friendly neighborhood wall-crawler would be the star of the latest marketing campaign.
