Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice was a jumpstart for the DC Extended Universe, running on from the fairly standalone Man of Steel into a massive wider world to rival Marvel’s. As a results, along with introducing Batman, Wonder Woman and Lex Luthor, it was full with loads of easter eggs and hints at what to come, ranging from the subtle (Robin’s suit in the Batcave, pointing towards an Under the Hood adaptation) to the painfully obvious (Diana Prince opening up Quicktime files of the metahumans).
