2017 is a big year for superhero comic book movie adaptations across the board, be they of the Marvel, DC or some other variety altogether. Marvel Studios is going to be releasing three movies in theaters in the same year for the first time – one of which, to be fair, is a Sony co-production (Spider-Man: Homecoming) – while DC Entertainment will be unveiling both the DC Extended Universe’s Wonder Woman solo movie and the first Justice League film, following the big screen debut of Gal Gadot as Diana Prince in this year’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
