Marvel Studios has only gotten continuously better at casting their films over the past several years, convincing a number of actors to be in their movies that, just a few years ago, comic book fans probably didn’t think they’d ever see appear in a superhero flick. However, perhaps one of their most exciting castings yet came earlier this year when Brie Larson was confirmed to be playing Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel in the character’s planned standalone film. This news, of course, came just a few months after Larson’s Oscar win for Best Actress, when she seemed to be on the tip of everyone’s tongues and quickly became one of the most sought-after actresses in the industry.
