Throughout multiple X-Men timelines and countless Wolverine appearances, little did Fox know that their biggest hit was sitting on the shelf. After many years of being stuck in the pre-production process, Ryan Reynolds was finally able to get Deadpool off the ground. While he was instrumental in the getting the movie made, so was director Tim Miller. He had been attached to the movie for years and after the success of the film, his directorial debut set him up to have the chance to return for the sequel.
