Awards season is now in full swing, and while there’s still a ways to wait before the 2017 Oscar nominations are announced, the Academy Award precursors are starting to weigh in. Earlier this week, the National Board of Review recognized their cream of the crop, with the drama Manchester by the Sea being named the best film by the group. Other honorees included several projects expected to pop up frequently on various awards lists, including the musical La La Land, coming-of-age tale Moonlight, and sci-fi drama Arrival.
Today, the Broadcast Film Critics Association and Broadcast Television Journalist Association (hat tip EW) revealed their nominees, ahead of their ceremony on December 11, 2016. ...
