It’s been a mixed bag this year for Warner Bros. Pictures’ DC Extended Universe. The DCEU movies Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad collectively earned over $1.5 billion at the global box office this year. At the same time however, they did not perform well with critics, as a whole, and were largely divisive within the DC Comics fanbase, as well as the larger moviegoing public (to a lesser degree, of course).
Zack Snyder is the one responsible for laying the foundation for the DCEU with Man of Steel in 2013, before he moved on to direct Batman V Superman. The DCEU now has more of a proper architect in place to guide it ...
