There are several memorable characters in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, including reprogrammed Imperial droid K-2SO, Rebel extremist Saw Gerrera and Guardian of the Whills Chirrut Îmwe. Though the scope of the film limited the screen time available to some of these characters, others stayed in the focus for almost the entire film.
As it turns out, one of the characters was carrying a little secret with him the whole time. As some fans speculated, it’s now been confirmed that the end of Chirrut’s staff contained a little bit of the material that the Empire was seeking out in droves… kyber crystal.
