Legendary is looking for a new way to reinvent their so called “Monsterverse” that will ultimately include a crossover fight unlike anything seen before on the big screen when Kong and Godzilla clash. Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla in 2014 launched this new universe to mixed results since the movie hid the titular monster throughout a majority of it, instead focusing on the human characters led by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen. However, Kong’s presence in Kong: Skull Island appears to be fairly significant, but even then the studio has put the likes of Brie Larson, Tom Hiddleston, and more in as the human leads.
