R-rated comic book ventures have become enticing in recent years. Deadpool broke box office records, but two years before it was Kingsman: The Secret Service that gave a glimpse of the fun that could be had with such films. The Fox-run properties are both based on comic books, and the studio is hoping for two R-rated successes this year in the wildly different Logan and Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
Logan is a dramatic western character study, while it is anticipated that The Golden Circle will contain more of the same crude humor and over-the-top violence as its predecessor. This is why, for Kingsman star Taron Egerton, he would want to see Eggsy meet up with Ryan Reynold’s Deadpool more than anyone else.
