Warner Bros technically launched their DC Comics Extended Universe with the premiere of Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel in 2013 – though it wasn’t confirmed to be part of a larger shared universe until later. Warner Bros officially kicked the DCEU into high gear starting in 2016 with the releases of Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice – a loose followup to Man of Steel – and David Ayer’s Suicide Squad. However, both films were met with divisive reactions among critics and viewers. Now, many DC Comics fans are turning their attention to the 2017 releases: the Wonder Woman solo film and Justice League team-up.
