Among the biggest surprises that has come out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Guardians of the Galaxy is the shining example. Director James Gunn was able to take the group of relatively unknown characters from the pages of Marvel comics and turn them into some of the most beloved characters that currently exist within the MCU. Thanks to Gunn’s direction, the film took off and has made Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 one of the most anticipated movies of 2017.
