The cast of New Mutants are already busy becoming quick friends. And in continuation with 20th Century Fox’s recent strategy for their X-Men cinematic universe, New Mutants promises to be unlike any other X-Men film that audiences have seen before. Coming from writer and director Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) New Mutants is said to be a coming-of-age/horror film with an unexpected tonal combination that brings together the storytelling styles of John Hughes and Stephen King. In a slate that already includes highly-anticipated titles like Deadpool 2 and X-Men: Dark Phoenix, this unexpected X-Men spinoff film is quickly shaping up to be one of the more interesting superhero films of the next few years.
