The director of the Power Rangers movie, Dean Israelite, has confirmed that he would like to include a fan-favorite villain in the sequel. The first Power Rangers movie served as a reboot of sorts; new Rangers, new backstories, and new suits, but the movie still still stayed true to its Power Rangers roots, most notably in including a classic villain from the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, Rita Repulsa. Played by Elizabeth Banks, Rita was a campy villain that was perfectly brought up to date for the movie’s purpose.
