In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant at the Spider-Man: Homecoming press junket, director Jon Watts expressed his interest in integrating other members of the Avengers into the sequel.
With Tony Stark/Iron Man playing such a pivotal part in Homecoming, it’ll be interesting to see how the sequel to the film will continue to integrate Peter Parker/Spider-Man in with the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We already know that Robert Downey Jr. will not be returning for the sequel, but that’s not to say that it’ll be a strictly solo Spider-Man adventure, as Watt has hinted that there will be ties to the rest of the universe in any further films.
