Just in case Disney wasn’t successful enough with the likes of Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, and their own animated movies (see: Zootopia and Frozen), the studio recently started producing live-action remakes of their most beloved classic films. The first few of these remakes (Maleficent, Cinderella, and The Jungle Book) were runaway successes, each earning over $500 million worldwide. Jungle Book, the most recent of these films, just missed $1 billion worldwide, as it currently sits at $966 million. With the preceding films being such massive hits, it should come as no surprise that Disney decided to produce a live-action remake of, perhaps, the most beloved animated movie of all time: Beauty and the Beast.
