Last night’s Golden Globes saw a fairly run-of-the-mill awards show, save for some technical hiccups and a noteworthy speech by Cecile B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Meryl Streep. Critics and fans alike were hardly shocked when La La Land took home seven awards, though there were a few upsets and unexpected turns.
