Michael Bay is bringing the Transformers franchise back once again this year. Despite the films continuing to fall in critical reception, the box office returns have been better than ever. Paramount is hoping for more money, but better reviews when the fifth installment, Transformers: The Last Knight, later this year. Mark Wahlberg is returning as inventor Cade Yeager for the film, in which the Autobots may be pitted against their once heroic leader, Optimus Prime. The source of Prime’s evil turn has not yet been officially unveiled, but whatever the rationale behind his turn on the human race is, it will bring him into conflict with Cade.
