The caped crusader has seen a number of big-screen adaptations over the past few decades – from Tim Burton’s dark take on the Dark Knight and Joel Schumacher’s campy Batman & Robin to Christopher Nolan’s gritty Dark Knight trilogy and Zack Snyder’s older version of the superhero in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Although Snyder and Ben Affleck’s Batman will return in 2017 for Warner Bros’ Justice League, another iteration of the caped crusader will be rappelling into theaters earlier in the year thanks to The LEGO Batman Movie.
