DC’s Suicide Squad will likely go down in history as one of the most divisive superhero films ever made, with many left disappointed by the film when it was released, and others still defending its positive aspects to this day. Part of that has to do with the film’s stellar marketing campaign, which made the film out to be the DC Extended Universe’s saving grace after Batman V Superman‘s disappointing reception earlier in the year, and led to some mighty high expectations being put on the film’s shoulders.
